FAQ

Mining, payouts, levels, the token and safety. Hashcoin hasn't launched yet; where something is still being decided, we say so.

Getting started

What is Hashcoin?

A Solana token ($HASH) with a 2–5% tax on every trade that pays its holders, plus an optional Windows app that mines with your GPU. Hold $HASH and you share the tax. Mine as well, and the platform converts what your GPU mines into $HASH and adds a miner bonus from the tax. It's built as a working product, not a joke coin.

What do I need?

To hold: a Solana wallet such as Phantom or Solflare. To mine as well: any Windows PC with an NVIDIA, AMD or Intel Arc graphics card (a gaming PC, a gaming laptop, an AI rig, or an editing or render workstation). You give the app your public wallet address and nothing else.

How do I start?

Install the app, paste your public Solana address and press Start. The app detects your GPUs, the server picks a coin for each card, and the app downloads a hash-verified miner and runs it. The app isn't released yet; join the waitlist on the home page to hear when it is.

Do I need a GPU?

No. Hold $50 or more and you share the holder rewards from every trade. Miners' share is capped, so busier trading means more for holders.

Why buy if I can just mine it?

Mining alone stays at M1. Holding $50 or more makes you H1, which earns holder rewards and unlocks M2; $500 for 24 hours makes you H2 and unlocks M3. Mining fills your bag slowly; buying gets you to the higher levels sooner.

When does it launch?

When the app and payouts are proven end to end: a devnet test of the tax, the split and payouts, a private test on real GPUs, and an unedited install-to-first-payout video. The date will appear in the countdown on the home page. No $HASH token exists yet.

Mining and coins

Which coin does my GPU mine?

Whichever pays your card the most. The server scores each coin by the revenue you can actually sell, after slippage and confirmation delays, and assigns a coin per card. Today newer NVIDIA cards mostly favor PRL, older NVIDIA cards QUAN, and most AMD and Intel cards QTC. The final list depends on miner and pool checks before launch.

How often does it switch coins?

Rarely. It re-checks every few hours and switches only when another coin pays clearly more (about 10–15%) for a sustained period. Assignments are signed, so a hijacked connection can't redirect your mining.

Where do the revenue numbers come from?

The calculator uses hashrate.no's 24-hour revenue for each card on its best coin, fetched October 14, 2026. These change daily with coin prices and network difficulty, and they're before electricity.

Will mining slow down my PC?

No. The miner only uses GPU power you aren't using. When a game, a render or an AI job needs the GPU, mining steps back and only your hashrate drops. Your apps keep running at full speed.

Does it work on laptops?

Yes. The calculator lists 45 laptop GPUs. hashrate.no measures only three of them (RTX 3060, 3070 and 3070 Ti Laptop); the others are estimated from the desktop card with the same chip and marked "est.". Laptops run hotter, so keep yours on a hard surface with the vents clear.

Does mining hurt my GPU?

Mining keeps your GPU busy when you aren't using it. That adds heat, power use and some wear, similar to long gaming sessions. Electricity is your cost. Temperature and power limits are planned for the app before release.

Payouts

How often am I paid?

About every 10 minutes, in $HASH, straight to your wallet. The exact cadence may change to hourly after launch week if transaction costs require it.

How is my mining credited?

By shares: the proof of work your GPU submits, which the pool verifies instantly and which can't be faked. You never send us crypto.

Why do I see "paid" and "pending"?

Mined coins take time to confirm and sell (10+ hours on some chains). So about 75% of your estimated mining value is paid right away from a float, and the remaining ~25% follows once the mined coin is sold, trued up to the actual sale price. If we overpaid, the platform absorbs it; we never claw back.

Why am I paid in $HASH and not the coin I mined?

Converting payouts to $HASH is what connects mining to the token. Each payout starts as a market buy of $HASH, and holding it is how you move up levels. What you do with it after that is up to you.

Can I check payouts myself?

Yes. Every payout is a Solana transaction. After launch the site lists them live with Solscan links, along with what each level was paid in the last 24 hours.

Levels and payouts

There are two ladders. Holder levels pay you a share of the holder pot for your bag. Miner levels multiply your share of the miner chest. You can climb either one, or both.

Holder levelRequirementWeight
H1Hold at least $50 of $HASH1×
H2Hold at least $500, with 24 hours on your hold clock2×
H3Hold at least $2,500, with 7 days on your hold clock4×
Miner levelRequirementWeight
M1Mining1×
M248 hours mined in the last 14 days, and at least H12×
M3120 hours mined in the last 14 days, and at least H24×

Holder pot share = bag × holder weight. Miner chest share = √(your GPU's USD earnings) × miner weight; the square root means a small card gets a bigger boost relative to what it mines.

How is the tax set and split?

The tax is 2–5%, set by a public formula: the lowest rate at which miners reach, on average, 5× what their GPUs mine and holders still get at least 1% of every trade. Quiet trading pushes it up, busy trading brings it down. Of the tax, development gets 5–10% (less when the tax is higher), miners 45–75%, and holders the rest.

What counts as an hour mined?

An hour when at least one of your GPUs is mining. It counts in full if the card runs at 80% or more of its normal speed for its model. Below that it counts for less: at 60% it's 45 minutes, at 40% half an hour. So hours still add up while you game or render, just more slowly.

What is the hold clock?

It starts once your bag first reaches $50 and keeps running, even through price dips. Bigger bags age faster: the clock runs at 1× up to $2,500, 2× at $5,000 and 3× at $7,500 or more, so buying more speeds it up from then on. Selling resets the clock. Any transfer out counts as selling, including sending to a liquidity pool or an exchange. Moving $HASH between your own wallets doesn't, once you link them on the wallet page (at launch): you sign a free message with each, and they share one bag and one clock.

Does mined $HASH count toward the thresholds?

Yes. Your bag includes mined $HASH, valued at the higher of the 1-hour and 7-day average prices and checked at each payout, so a sudden dip doesn't drop your level.

What happens if the price dips?

Levels use the higher of the 1-hour and 7-day average prices, so a sudden dip doesn't count right away. If the price stays down long enough for your bag to fall under a threshold, you drop to the level below. When it's back above, the level returns immediately, because your hold clock kept running.

How often are holders paid?

Miners are paid about every 10 minutes. Holder rewards go out hourly or daily (to be decided), because paying every holder every 10 minutes would cost too much in transaction fees.

Can I split my bag across wallets to earn more?

No. Holder rewards follow bag size directly, so ten small wallets earn the same as one big one, and moving tokens between wallets counts as selling, which shrinks the clock.

Tokenomics

Supply21,000,000 $HASH, all created at launch; minting is then switched off for good
ChainSolana, Token-2022 with the transfer-fee extension
Tax2–5% on every transfer, set by a public formula: 5–10% of it to development, 45–75% to miners (what reaches 5× their mining), the rest to holders (at least 1% of every trade). No burn
Tax authorityIn a multisig. The rate only moves within 2–5% by the published formula, and every change shows on-chain about 4 days before it applies
Dev holding1% of supply, bought openly at launch, no sells for 90 days, then at most 0.25% of supply per month. Gets no miner or holder payouts
Contract addressPublished on this site first, at launch
Why can't the tax be avoided?

Because the token program itself charges it on every transfer, in every pool, aggregator and wallet. Earlier tax-sharing coins failed when traders simply bought on other exchanges to dodge the tax. A Token-2022 transfer tax closes that gap.

Do your own payouts pay the tax?

Yes. We send a little extra so you receive the full amount, and the tax we pay flows back to the treasury.

Which launchpad or exchange will it be on?

Most likely Meteora's launchpad, which now supports a token tax like ours. If that isn't ready in time, our own token with a Raydium or Orca pool. Either way, any Solana wallet and aggregator such as Jupiter can trade it, and the tax applies everywhere.

How do I know the contract address is real?

It appears here first, at launch, and the header's "CA" button copies it. Any address posted before that, or anywhere that doesn't match this site, is not ours.

Safety and antivirus

Will you ever ask for my seed phrase?

Never. Not the app, not the website, not support. We also never DM first. Anyone asking for your seed phrase or private key is a scammer.

Why might my antivirus flag the app?

Many antivirus products flag every crypto miner, legitimate ones included, because mining uses your GPU the way some malware does. The app isn't code-signed yet, which gives Windows less to go on. You can check the installer's SHA-256 against the one on this site, and the code is open source. We never ask you to turn off your antivirus; if it blocks Hashcoin, allowing it is your choice. How to check and allow it.

Why does Windows say "Windows protected your PC"?

That's SmartScreen. It shows for new apps that aren't code-signed or widely downloaded yet. Click More info, check the app is Hashcoin Miner from this site, then Run anyway. More.

What does the app do on my PC?

It detects your GPUs, asks the server which coin each should mine, downloads a miner whose hash matches a signed list, and runs it only after you press Start. It shows a tray icon, stops when you say, and uninstalls cleanly. Auto-start is off unless you turn it on. No packing, no obfuscation.

Where is the money held?

The tax is collected and paid out every round by our payout wallet, so it only holds what's waiting to be paid. The treasury goes in a multisig. Every wallet we control will be listed on the home page at launch.

Risks

Please read this before taking part.

  • $HASH is volatile. Like any new token, it can lose most or all of its value.
  • Payouts vary. They depend on coin prices, pool results, how much $HASH is traded and how many people mine. They can fall to near zero.
  • Costs are yours. Electricity, heat and hardware wear. The 2–5% tax applies when you buy, sell or move $HASH.
  • Selling resets your hold clock. Taking profit can drop you a holder level, and with it a miner level.
  • New software. Bugs are possible. The code is open so anyone can check it.
  • Rules where you live. Mining and tokens are regulated differently by country. Check yours.
